A long time ago when I was still in school; 8th -10th (cant quite remember) I used to watch a show called BIG WEREWOLF ON CAMPUS. I loved it but wasnt always able to watch all the episodes, but there was something about it that stuck in my mind for a long time. No, it wasnt the main charater who was the werewolf but his goofy gothic friend played by Danny Smith. I haven't seen him in anything since the show and so I googled him and found out that he put his acting on hold to get into his music. He has a band called THE CITY DRIVE. 'New Moon' Release Date Set: Your Next 'Twilight' Fix Arrives November 20

I just found this article by Gil Kaufman on mvt.com and thought I'd share and get your comments.

Days after announcing its new director, Summit announces the sequel will come out exactly a year after 'Twilight.'

The body's not even cold on the first "Twilight" movie, but producers have already hired a new director, Chris Weitz, for "New Moon" and slotted the release date for the sequel.
The second movie based on the vampire series by Stephenie Meyer will hit theaters on November 20, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Perhaps they're superstitious, but that's almost exactly a year to the day after "Twilight" opened.
"Same time, same place," said Richie Fay, the distribution head for Summit Entertainment. "If it's also the same gross, we'll be very pleased. Hopefully, we'll have even better results."
"Twilight" opened with nearly $70 million on its first weekend, and while Summit was quick to promise a sequel just days into the movie's run, it also rapidly broke ties with the original film's director, Catherine Hardwicke.
"American Pie" director Weitz — who was behind the controversial 2007 Nicole Kidman-starring adaptation of "The Golden Compass" — will have some stiff competition when "New Moon" opens next year. According to the Reporter, that pre-Thanksgiving weekend will also see the bows of the Guy Ritchie-directed "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr., the animated flick "Planet 51" and a Three Stooges movie being directed by the Farrelly brothers.
With a release date and director now officially set, Twilighters' attention will now turn to casting. While principals Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are committed to return for the sequel, much mystery surrounds Taylor Lautner and whether the young actor will reprise his role as the shape-shifting teen Jacob. There are strong indications that the studio is considering re-casting the role for "New Moon."

Hey, this was a total fave of mine and if you haven't seen it before, well, now's your chance. Hmmm ... I wonder when someone will air "Moonlight" (another cancelled CBS drama) again?

This is the authors first book and can I just say WOW! I totally loved it. Just read it already! I promise that you will love it too!

I must admit that I love it when a book draws you in from the very first, the opening line, so to speak. This book does that. "I was sixteen years old the day I was lost in the forest, sixteen the day I met my death." I hope you like it as much as I did!

Twilight review

WARNING!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN TWILIGHT; DO NOT READ THIS!!!!!





After seeing the movie myself with Tristen and Trayci, I was really curious to see what other people thought. But I'll give you my opinion first:
Some of the acting wasn't the best, I did love the coloring and most of the special effects. I think that it could have been a whole lot better if the screen writer hadn't written the movie for those who had already read the books. And it was really hard watching it with SO many people. Usually I'm a talker when it comes to movies. Books too but I was really upset that people couldn't stop laughing. It was really very irritating because the stuff they were laughing at wasn't even very funny. It was almost like we were all in on an inside joke but I for one had grown tired of the repeating laughter, smiling is good enough. I know that I'll definitely have to see it again when there aren't SO many people and i think that then I might be able to give a better review. But in the mean time I found this one online and rather agreed. Now I DO still love Twilight the book and the movie and there is now way that if and when New Moon comes out, that I will not once again go see it. Just maybe a week afterwards so that there isn't as many people.

Save at the Grocery!

I learned about this site where you can load coupons onto your grocery "value" cards. Go to www.shortcuts.com and register your store card and load up some coupons onto it. Then while you are checking out, just have the cashier swipe your card, and the coupons are automatically used along with your regular card savings!! Can you say Easy Peasy!! The only thing I don't like about it is it would only let me add so many coupons at a time.

I'll update later after I've used this method and let you all know how it went!!

I just learned about this site from a morning show out here. Go to www.gazelle.com, and they will buy your old electronic devices. Just do a search for your device, fill in the info as to whether it will turn on and what kind of condition it is in, and Whalla! they will give you a quote. Then they will send you a box and pay for the shipping to send it to them, and then will send you a check.

I just tried it with a really old camcorder that we never use, and it gave me a quote of $93! It isn't the exact model #, but the website says to still send it in, and they will adjust the quote if needed.

Anyways, I'll update when the deal is done!!

I love the show Supernatural. This is one of the main characters. He was supposed to stop shortly after the music started but his co-star decided to play a prank on him and not step into the scene, so he just kept going along with the song.

Yep, I've Officially Lost It!!

Alright, this has nothing to do with books, movies, TV or the like, BUT I wanted to share with you my finding.

I have been struggling with the fact that the kids might have to move a few times before we are finished with Thomas' schooling. They haven't really had a hard time adjusting, it is probably just me wanting the best for them, and not wanting to put them through any more challenges than I have to. We have been trying to decide if I should stop watching kids & move into a cheaper place, so that I won't have to feel like I am completely ignoring them and not involved in their lives anymore. Out here, homeschooling is all the rage! Well, there was just no way I could handle doing something like that. I am in no way qualified to put a curriculum together for 4, and soon 5 different grade levels. BUT, in my searching I found a public school, here in Indiana, called Hoosier Academy (clickable link). It is a charter school run by Ball State University. It is sort of a hybrid home school meets traditional brick and mortar school. And, because it is a public school it is FREE!

At this Hoosier Academy (clickable link), the kids would attend school at the Learning Center in Indianapolis 2 full days a week from 8:30a - 4:30p. Then for the other 3 days, they would complete their lessons online from home. They would just need to log a total of 11 hours for those 3 days. AND they could do this whenever they wanted, any day or time of day, just as long as they got their lessons done before they had to go in to the Learning Center. The school would provide a computer, printer and reimbursement for internet access, and all books and supplies. They would be tested for placement, and they are allowed to place students 2 grades above or below where they should be according to age. Awesome! And if they are lower in Math than Reading, then the program is easily adjusted. Perfect!

My searching for this started when the kids were out of school with their tonsils. Trayci and Taneil can attest that the make-up work sent home for a 2 week period of missed school was completed in 1 maybe 1 1/2 days!! What in the world are they doing all day in school? Certainly NOT a whole lot of class work.

I am loving this idea! This way, when we have to move to go to Purdue, the kids can still attend this academy, I will just have to drive them in to Indy twice a week. No biggie to me! PLUS, if we do get our DREAM job with the Foreign Service, we can just keep going with the K12 curriculum on a private basis, so that the kids don't ever have to interrupt their learning. I am so excited about this program, and just wanted to share! They said they have these K12 public programs, which basically means "Paid by your tax dollars", all over the country. So, there just may be one in your area!!!

Edited To Add: Utah & Nevada have one, but it looks like all work is done at home, and then a state-certified teacher comes and checks on you and helps you out.
